Title: Java Production support engineer

Number of positions: 4

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor production systems and respond to alerts/incidents promptly.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide short-term and long-term solutions.
• Support Java-based applications and troubleshoot backend and integration issues.
• Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and stability.
• Maintain incident records, prepare reports, and assist in post-mortem analysis.
• Write or update scripts to automate common support tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support coverage, including weekends or off-hours as needed.
• Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with SQL/PLSQL and working knowledge of relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and basic shell scripting.
• Experience with log analysis tools like Splunk, ELK Stack, or native log files.
• Good understanding of web services (REST/SOAP), API integrations, and microservices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle critical production issues under pressure.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:                                               

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Maven.
• Experience in financial services, telecom, or healthcare domains is a bonus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
