Job Title: Senior Enterprise Java Architect

Location: Bellevue, WA.

                

Looking for someone who has worked across the organization on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise-level Java architecture strategies, patterns, and best practices.
  • Lead the design of complex, large-scale, distributed systems based on Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation and support.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks suitable for enterprise-scale applications.
  • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, maintainability, etc.).
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code audits, and technical mentoring for development teams.
  • Design integration strategies for third-party systems, legacy applications, and APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL).
  • Champion cloud-native development, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) as part of modernization efforts.
  • Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions and technical roadmaps.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development and architecture.
  • Expertise in Java 11+ and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, etc.
  • Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD).
  • Solid experience with enterprise integration patterns, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and API gateways.
  • Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven, Gradle), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of software security principles, identity management (OAuth2, SAML), and data protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
